Home Run

Logan hit his first home run over the fence. The first time up at bat he hit the ball to left field. So the second time up to bat he was warming up and I said "just hit me one out of here. " Well second pitch he did. It was over center field about 211 feet. I couldn't have been more proud!!

Sock Hop

Jayde went to her first Sock Hop. Gran bought her this dress which was perect for the dance. Jayde's teacher Ms Schoening is in the picture with her. I can't say enough about her. She is the "ideal kindergarten teacher". She is young, always smiling, energetic, and just loves the kids. She came dressed up and danced with her students. The first friend is Olivia who is in Jayde's class who does Daisies with her. The second friend is Madi. The little boy is Brendan a boy in Jayde's class. They danced and chased each other all night.

Valentine's Day

Grandma kept Jayde while we were getting our new carpet. Of course Jayde talked her into taking her shopping. She came home with this outfit to wear on Valentine's Day. She told everybody she loved this outfit because it made her look like a teenager. She cracks me up in this first picture always doing some kind of pose for the camera. The second picture is her with her mailbox she made for school for her valentines.

Daisy

Jayde is now a Daisy Scout. These pictures are her with her Daisy apron and bag. In Daisies you don't earn patches you earn petals. Today was her second meeting and she seems to really like it. Her good friend from school Olivia is in her troop. I have such fond memories of Brownies and Girl Scouts. I hope Jayde enjoys it as much as I did and meets lot's of new friends and has some amazing experiences.

Braces

Logan got four braces put on the top four front teeth. I wish I could just slow time down and not let him get any older or bigger. The thought of him turning 11 this year and entering into his last year of Elementary school is hard to grasp. I think back to him starting Mother's Morning Out with Ms Bobby carrying his little Elmo lunch box that was as big as he was and now he is a preteen. It doesn't seem like that long ago when I got my braces in sixth grade and now my child has them. I know this is just the next milestone in his life but as his Mother it is hard to see my baby looking like such a big boy.

Art Show

At the Big Shanty Art Station they had an art exhibit featuring work from Jayde's school. It was very nicely done with all the artwork matted along with the kids information. Jayde's picture she drew was chosen and was on display. She did such a super job the picture is beautiful!

Nibbles

Well our beloved guinea pig Peach passed away. Jayde was very upset. She is such an animal lover. Her dad told her that we would not be replacing the guinea pig. Well needless to say it didn't take much to convince her dad because she has a new robo hamster named Nibbles. He is very tiny and sweet. The day after we got her Logan was looking in his new Guinness Book of World Records and this breed of hamster is the smallest domestic breed of hamster. So now Jayde is convinced that her hamsters picture is in the World Record book. I just pray that Nibbles doesn't get lost or eaten by Hope or Tom he is so quick.

Cupcake Maker

For Christmas Jayde got a cupcake maker. Well this weekend we thought we would give it a try. It only prepares one cupcake in the microwave at a time. The icing didn't turn out exactly like the picture on the box but she had a great time.

Girls Rule

Jayde has been able to ride her bike for several months without training wheels. She is so proud of herself! There are four boys in our cul-de-sac that are Jayde's age and out of all five kids Jayde is the only one riding on two wheels. She loves to show off in front of all the boys.

Cheetah Girls

Jayde and her friend Meghan love to dress up and perform. Jayde got this microphone for Christmas and they tried it out today. They came downstairs all decked out in their makeup and outfits and put on a show. It's so funny to watch and listen to them.

Chistmas Morning

Logan was the first to wake up and then proceeded to wake up his sister. They came and got me up at 6:30a.m. We then headed downstairs to see if Santa had come. Santa was very good to Logan & Jayde. They both got so many presents wrapped nicely in Hannah Montana and Spongebob wrapping paper. Logan got a new scooter, Nerf gun, Legos, Tech Decks. Jayde got lot's of Hannah Montana and Barbie stuff. They loved everything they got.

Christmas Pajamas & Robes

Bear & Mel started a tradition when I was little that we got to open one gift on Christmas Eve. Every year it was new pajamas. Well I've continued this tradition with Logan & Jayde but this year not only did they get pajamas but also new robes. For some reason Jayde has been begging for a robe so I decided they'd both get a new one. They thought it was so neat to put them on when they got out of the tub.
